Brain Injuries
What are the Signs or Symptoms of a Brain Injury?
Unfortunately, some of the effects of a brain injury do not show up for several weeks or sometimes even months. If any symptoms start to interfere with day to day activities or rituals it is imperative to address them as soon as possible. Some symptoms may include:
-
Headache, Memory Lapses
-
Dizziness or loss of balance
-
Nausea or vomiting
-
Sensory problems, such as blurred vision, ringing in the ears or a bad, taste in the mouth, Sensitivity to light or sound, Faulty Judgement, Mood changes or mood swings, Feeling depressed or anxious, Fatigue or drowsiness
If these symptoms become more pronounced it is often the case that an individual will need to undergo neurological testing for cognitive relapses. There is a possibility that several areas of the brain have been damaged which could mean very high medical costs over the next several months and years.
